This card was the first produced as a complete card, which was distributed to everyone.
It was created on an Acorn A440/1 Risc based Computer using Acorn's supplied Draw application and Video images grabbed via a Brainsoft/Technomatic Video-I monochrome realtime digitiser from 8mm video images.
At the time, I think we still only had a dot matrix printer, and so the file had to be split up into 2 parts - and compressed onto floppy disks (1.6M format) in order to print out the master copy at work.
This was then pasted back onto a single A3 sheet which was then taken to D.Page Printers in Henfield, West Sussex so that about 100 copies could be run off on a photocopier onto light card.
It was designed to fold into four, but having used a stiff card, the interior had to be guillotined off and then stuck into place.
The outer illustrations reflected our Nordturist Rail trip around Scandinavia which included crossing the Polar Circle (which we did again last year - by Car)

Oman and the Video Report:
While Phil went off to Oman, Lin and Tina shot the sequences for a "Video Report" presented as a team activity at work. Phil then edited it and Lin showed it to great aclaim, using the Video projector, at Prospect Park (which is now a Brewer's Fayre). Euclid and Mogul was used to produce some 3D animations to link the items.
