The Year Just Past
A quiet start, with Phil remaining in the country for the first five months which was quite a novelty, and this enabled several visits to family in Devon. We are sad to have to report that Sherlock passed on shortly before our holiday, aged 14. Tiggy however seems to have developed a new lease of life, and has even been seen chasing other cats out of the garden!
Phil's first trip abroad came in June; and since a short visit to Stockholm was too good an opportunity to miss, Lin came along too, flying Business Class, regardless of cost! (±£30 more)
We arrived in the midst of the Stockholm Marathon, with runners and paper cups everywhere. This coincided with a food festival, and a central park full of catering stalls from most of the Restaurants in town, accompanied by live music.
While Phil was teaching, Lin was sightseeing and shopping, although on the final morning both of us were 'doing the tourist bit'.
