Table Tennis Table Top - sized G Scale Layout

A transportable layout offering a range of operation with 4 - 6 trains capacity storage at the rear,
operating shuntable sidings at the front, with a small passenger / industrial line, and at higher level
(s-shape) shuttling mine-working train bringing a load to transfer into the 'mainline' train at the front.
Control by LGB MTS/MZS using an old Controller (Locos 1-8 or 0-7. Total flexibilty without electrical sectioning.
Computer automation possible with LGB software and position feedback (optical detection best - no electrical sectioning required).
Additional operations with Tower Crane in the Yard, etc.
Swedish Harbour - A portable layout offering continuous run and a freight branch.
The main station featuring a typical Scandinavian style of using Platform 1 except when
trains are passing, in which case the next platform is also brought into use. More loops allow for the crossing of freight trains without reversals.
A 4.5 metre version provides a better length of platform / passing loop and more practical gradient than the 2m version.
Using a thin Ply base for the upper station area would allow the 10cm height to be reduced slightly, benefitting gradients.
Curves are definately Settrack and based here on new Trix-C / Marklin-C track available from a start set.
Plenty of storage loops are included beneath to provide a variety of trains running through the station,
unlike 'typical british branchline' exhibition layouts.
A Trix DCC/Selectrix or Roco / Rocomotion controller is available for it.
September 2007: Sufficient Rocoline Track has been obtained to build this layout in the near future.
The Version that has been built uses 2 doors as cheap baseboards. The HOm track shown was NOT installed as there was no room; the Faller Car System will occupy the same route instead:
Working Harbour Crane: the operating Brawa Container crane, is now being used, as this is smaller than the Heljan Container Terminals now on the
main layout.

Shunting Puzzle Layout(s)
Following the form of several examples on the web, in G Scale, a working version can be built on a door (lightweight,
cheap, well-finished layout baseboard).
